‘The good, the bad and the ugly:’ New Truckee museum offers glimpse into area’s rich history

Burn permits required May 1 in Nevada, Yuba, Placer counties

Beginning Saturday, May 1, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit will require burn permits for residential vegetative material pile burning within Nevada, Yuba, and Placer counties. Vail extends season by a week at Tahoe resorts

Vail Resorts’ trio of ski areas in the Lake Tahoe Basin are staying open a week longer than originally planned.
